A man was sent to hospital after a fight involving 20 men took place at Maude Road in Jalan Besar this morning (Aug 2) at around 2.30am.

According to Shin Min Daily News, the incident occured after bar dispute.

One man suffered throat injury and had blood all over his face.

Images of the fight's aftermath shows the road where the incident is believed to have taken place still covered with dried blood.

Said a police spokesperson with regards to the incident:

"Police received a call today at 2.30am requesting for assistance at Maude Road. Upon police arrival, it was established that a case of voluntarily causing grievous hurt had taken place at the said location. One man was conveyed conscious to Changi General Hospital."

I don't understand!

Areas like Jalan Besar, where I grew up, are high risk places. Can't the police set up 2 police post with 2 police cars constantly on patrol?

Orchard Road and Geylang needs double that amount.

Especially from 9 pm to 5 am!!!

Go take a stroll in Geylang at night..see the throngs of foreigners running wild there, Vietnamese, Burmese, Pinoys and lots of others ...selling sex pills, duty unpaid cigarettes, ah gua soliciting, chickens soliciting, back alleys full of loiterers, tough and unruly guys loitering here and there, tiongs selling stolen goods openly like the thieves market in sungei road, and lots more to make any one feel there is no security in the area.

Where are the mata mata? A patrol car at the red light waiting for green light, the tiong on motorised bike just zoomed across the red light. What did the mata mata do? See nothing, know nothing. Your home team, alamak, good to go home and tidor, lah...

....and doing their patrols like jiak hong jiak hong cruising...seeing motorists driving without lights on at night or motorised bike riders blatantly flouting traffic rules, tumpang passengers front and back, tiongs jaywalking like heroes...and what did they do? See nothing, do nothing.

In the USA, the police would stop to question: Is this your grandfather's country? Sure to get a citation. In sinkieland, it belongs to everyone and so, everyone can do as he pleases...

Nothing unusual when you have weak law enforcement and court judges who sleep on their jobs. Criminals understand only one language...caning. Imprisonment is like going to a chalet to them. At least 6 strokes for any criminals and they would think twice before using a weapon on any one.

When the court gives a rogue who used a weapon six months jail with discount attached, that rogue will never learn to behave. Give him 6 strokes to split his arse, he may turn over a new leaf. Judges unwilling to cane the hell out of criminals should not sit in court, go and sit in the office to warm his balls.

Useless, lah. Hang murderers and punish all violent criminals who cause hurt with weapons with caning and it is more effective than to have a mata mata post in every corner of the street.

A maid killed the employer and got just time to rot in prison for some years. The lesbian who killed also got time to chill in prison for some years. Hang all killers and murderers. Anyone thinking of killing will think twice, thrice, before killing. When the courts give all kinds of excuses not to hang a killer, it sends the message to other would-be killers....killing is alright.
