Many are feared dead in Baltimore following a dramatic bridge collapse tonight after the 9,962 teu Dali containership smashed directly into one of the bridge’s pillars.
The Maryland Transportation Authority and US Coast Guard confirmed an incident on the Francis Scott Key Bridge.

It is being seen as a developing mass casualty incident with multiple vehicles and many individuals said to be in the water.
Reports on the collapse of the longest bridge in Baltimore, and the world’s third-longest continuous truss bridge, came in around 1.30 hrs local time Tuesday. Initial reports suggest there were around 20 people on the 2.57 km long bridge at the time of the incident.
Baltimore mayor Brandon Scott said emergency personnel were at the scene and rescue efforts were underway. There were no immediate reports of casualties. Kevin Cartwright, the director of communications for the Baltimore fire department, said emergency responders were searching for at least seven people believed to be in the water.

The 300 m-long Dali is listed on VesselsValue as owned by Grace Ocean Investment and registered in Singapore. All crewmembers, including the two pilots, have been accounted for and there are no reports of any injuries. There has also been no pollution.

Looking at the clear video of the collapse of the bridge, it was horrifying. Let us all live in hope that there may be survivors.

At this stage, it is IMPORTANT to determine the facts, as sooner or later, the CRAZIES will claim is an act from the divine, especially Persia Iran & terrorists whom are all out to seize ANY opportunity to fool the naive.

The ones whom chartered the ship was MAERSK, but ultimately, it is the GREEK owners of that ship whom will have to bear responsibilities for that ship - hiring of crew, maintenance of ship, etc.

No mechanical device will last forever, not even an Audemars Piguet watch, more so ships that need maintenance regularly.

Based upon the videos, that ship had MECHANICAL issues before it ploughed into the bridge's pillars, & the crew did everything against the natural tide & currents, even attempts at reversing the ship thus the black smoke seen - severe strains upon the machineries.

Thus it was a MECHANICAL fault & not something that the crazies would claim, & that fault lays in NEGLIENCE by the engineers onboard & the owners for FAILING to keep that ship well maintained.

Any estimate on the amount of Insurance Payout ?

Isn;t this Ship, a Sub-Contractor to Maersk Line ?

How will the Liability Boundaries be Negotiated ?

How long will such Negotiations go on, beofre some money is paid out ?

Hahaha.
A few billion from the insurance company.

Insurance company has been making tons of profit over the years. It is time they dig up some profit from previous years to pay for it.

Anyway the infrastructure for Uncle Sam is crumbling. This money just come in time to repair the infrastructure and upgrade the infrastructure. Best thing is that the government or taxpayers pay next to nothing. The insurance company will pay the bill.
