Bedok hawkers confirm that WP is dishonest and has been forging evidence

The hawkers at Bedok have double-confirmed the ‘good office’ of the Hammerrhoid Town Council has been lying shamelessly. The market ceiling was not cleaned last year.

Perhaps the MP as assumed to carry on the practice from last year? Not so, according to another hawker who operates the minced pork noodle stall in the hawker centre. He revealed that because the hawker centre has just been upgraded and reopened in March 2011, there was no major spring-cleaning conducted last year. This somewhat contradicts AHPETC’s account about the cleaning works that was done to the ceilings, beams and exhaust pipe last year.

But the ‘good office’ of the Hammerrhoid Town Council has been refuting the hawkers’ allegations and had even fabricated or photoshop ‘evidence’ in their ‘records’ to show that the ceiling has been cleaned:

NEA doubted whether cleaning of the high areas was done in 2012 at the market at Blk 538. From our records, the high areas were cleaned as can be seen from the attached photographs in Annex B taken in March 2012.

Was the photographs taken in March 2012 or in March 2011 when the hawker centre had just been re-opened after a major upgrading programme?

If the photographs were taken in March 2012, then why was the ceiling so cleaned even though no major cleaning was done in 2012, as alleged by the hawkers themselves?

I have been truthful in communicating the Town Council’s position on the facts of the matter concerned. Equally, there is no reason to doubt the honesty of Aljunied-Hougang-Punggol East Town Council (“AHPETC”) staff in this matter. If the Minister has any proof to the contrary, he should present these, rather than make sweeping allegations.

This Hammerrhoids’ belated statement is totally uncalled for.

The ‘good office’ of the Hammerrhoid Town Council has been untruthful to the hawkers and the latter are casting doubt over their honesty.

If the ‘good office’ of the Hammerrhoid Town Council has any proof to the contrary, then they should also present these, rather than make sweeping allegations over the hawkers’ characters and integrity.

We invite the Minister to a dialogue with the elected members of AHPETC to settle any outstanding matters, on this or any other matter in future, should he wish to do so.

Instead, the ‘good office’ of the Hammerrhoid Town Council should invite the hawkers to a dialogue with the elected members of Hammerrhoid Town Council to settle any outstanding matters, on this or any other matter in future, should they really wish to do so.

The Hammerroids should stop running away from the hawkers and hiding under PAP panties. Stand up to the hawkers and face them like a man!
