Beautician locks robber in shop with her

The man lurked outside the beautician’s shop for several days, insisting he wanted treatment.

She repeatedly refused him and he eventually came clean - he wanted to borrow money.

She loaned him $100 and he agreed to pay her back.

But when it was time to return the money, he tried to steal from her instead.

The incident took place at Miss Carin Phang’s shop in Ang Mo Kio Avenue 8 at about 9.30pm on Saturday.

Not wanting him to escape, she locked herself in her shop with the robber.
