BB voters, Can you trust a dishonourable son like Murali?

As many people know, Murali Pillai’s father was P K Pillai. PK was a trade unionist and member of Barisan Sosialis (the splinter party from PAP). He was arrested in 1963 under Operation Cold Store. Cold Store was an illegal Internal Security operation ostensibly aimed at eliminating communists but actually carried out to eliminate the opposition leadership to th

e PAP and Lee Kuan Yew. Just my 2 cents.

Murali's family should be quite happy about his accomplishments. A lot of reconciliation has happened over the decades, so don't be surprised at how loyalties can shift back and forth. Nothing is permanent in politics, certainly not friends or enemies.

I am more concerned with general election candidates who get in without having done National Service, or who are not born and bred citizens.

In any case, Murali has revealed himself to be a flip flopper with regard to the local issue of estate management, and BB residents should not accept a character like him.
