A month later, the mother visited her child and found injuries on her. She took the girl to hospital for checks. Police were informed and the little girl said Sivakumar hit her. The mother also revealed that Sivakumar, who is unemployed, had made her daughter lie face down in her own urine as punishment for relieving herself in the living room. Jailing Sivakumar for 10 months on Tuesday, District Judge Jill Tan said that the accused had not only hurt a young helpless child, he had also subjected her to the degradation of lying in her urine.
