The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said the body was found at about 5.20pm on Saturday. It was found about 20 metres from the shoreline. The identity of the man is not known and investigations are ongoing. Police were alerted by a caller at about 1.00pm on Saturday, that a man was seen going into the reservoir waters. Channel NewsAsia understands that an eyewitness had described the man to be in his 30s, with curly hair, glasses and a tanned complexion. Civil Defence divers have been combing the waters for the entire afternoon. Recently, a man was arrested for a suicide attempt there earlier this month on January 18. -CNA/ac <TBODY> </TBODY>

when i started bedok reservoir thread, i thought of doing the opposite of trying to put pple out of the idea of going there to commit suicide. now, i think it's not funny when pple think that place is a good place to die. call me a hypocrite, it's ok...
