[h=1]13.07.14 Paya Lebar Division 1-Day Tangkak Durian Tour[/h]Paya Lebar Division's 1-Day Tangkak Durian Tour this year was held on 14 July 2013. Residents gathered early at the pick-up point, waiting for the buses to arrive. It was a wet morning but it did not douse the enthusiasm of the residents and bus leaders who were looking forward to a great day ahead.
The day's itinerary included a visits to bee farm, brown rice factory, the Gunung Ledang National Park and of course the durian plantation. There was a small hiccup along the way where one of the buses broke down, but while waiting for the replacement bus, residents had a good engagement session with Mr Chen and took many photographs.
The dinner at the end of the day was as usual a grand affair where everyone from the many buses gathered in a big hall to enjoy dinner together. Other than the lucky draw, this year there was also a surprise birthday celebration for a 19-year-old resident. Her family came as a group and brought the cake along.
We arrived back in Singapore at about 11.30pm, tired but looking forward to next year's trip!
