I have some relatives who drive taxis for 12 straight hours night shift (off course with breaks in between for pee, relaxation, kopi, supper, etc...).
These poor people hardly can make ends meet.
They earn about ($160/-) per session of drive.
Out of these $55/- goes for rental, $35/- for diesel and $3/- fr taxi-wash and another $20/- for supper, cigarettes and kopi.
That is a total of $112/-.
They are left with a miserable $48/- (multiply by 30 days = $1440/-)
What is that Malay driver talking about?
It would be wise of him to go back to his $5000/- pm job as Security Manager (also another unbelievabe salary where guards are paid peanuts).
Would be wise for the Straits Times and Sunday Times to check, re-check and again check the truth about such preposterous claims in future, or risk loosing readers.
