【星島日報報道】元朗一家便利店的六旬男店員，上周六(28日)追截一名涉偷啤酒的巴裔壯漢時，慘被對方狂踢跌倒，頭部重傷昏迷，警方翌日拘捕疑匪，傷者延至昨日(30日)不治，警方列為店鋪盜竊及謀殺案處理。
死者鄧忠強，61歲，在擊壤路17號一家便利店任職。警方表示，上周六晚7時半，一名巴裔男子進入上址便利店，偷走兩罐共值31元的啤酒離去，姓鄧店員（死者）發現追出約50米將他截獲，惟對方孔武有力，鄧見狀逃跑反被疑犯追上。鄧疑失足跌倒，被人衝前狂踢頭及胸部，鄧後腦著地重創昏迷，警方到場將他送院，並根據附近一帶閉路電視片段及目擊者提供訊息，翌日(29日)在區內截獲涉案的27歲巴基斯坦裔男子，他持有香港身分證，無業，目前仍遭扣留調查。
至於受傷店員延至昨(30日)午3時31分不治，死因有待法醫剖驗確定，警方將案改列店鋪盜竊及謀殺案處理。

[Sing Tao Daily] A 60-year-old male clerk at a convenience store in Yuen Long was chased by a Pakistani strong man who was involved in stealing beer on Saturday (28th). The suspect was arrested the next day. The wounded was postponed until yesterday (30th). The police classified it as shop theft and murder.
The deceased, Deng Zhongqiang, 61 years old, worked at a convenience store on 17 Kyangyang Road. Police said that at 7.30 pm last Saturday, a Palestinian man entered a convenience store on the site and stole two cans of beer worth 31 yuan. The clerk named Deng (the deceased) found that he recovered about 50 meters and intercepted him However, the opponent Kong Wu was powerful, Deng saw the escape and was caught up by the suspect. Deng suspected to have stumbled and fell. He was rushed forward and kicked his head and chest. Deng Hou hit his head and suffered a coma. The police arrived at the scene and took him to the hospital. The 27-year-old Pakistani man intercepted in the case, holding a Hong Kong identity card, is unemployed and is still being detained for investigation.
