Mediacorp stressed that it looks like the fall was an accident while the woman was hanging out the laundry. Youngish woman with young kids.

actually it does happen, as this happens near my block to a pregnant lady. as the laundary is too heavy for her, she would need to lean forward so as to put the bamboo out for hanging and hence fell from her window.

guys and gers have different centre of gravity in their body, as female are generally shorter hence when they need to hand heavy laundry out of the window, they would need to tiptoe so as to reach. so u imagine that they have to tiptoe and lean forward, would it be hard for them to keep themself stable?

and of cos i offer this explaination as an alternative because our media is good at hushing real news and wks is good at acting blurr.

y BCA got so much time to waste on implementing barrier free concept (which doesnt take a rocket scientist to formulate) + enforcing greenmark initiatitves when they don't even know that energy saving require a holistic effort, and not just via sunlight in an island that has more than 60% rainfall p.a........ when they didn't address the hazard issue of ppl falling when hanging out clothes on tek-koh?

49—year—old woman falls eight floors to her death

SINGAPORE: A 49—year—old woman fell to her death from the 8th floor of a block of flats in Pasir Ris, in what appears to be a freak accident.

It is believed that she was trying to retrieve clothes poles when she fell.
Disbelieving neighbours were still gathered around the foot of the block of flats a couple of hours after the incident occurred. Details of what happened are still sketchy. Police would only say that they received a call around 5.20pm that a woman was lying motionless at the foot of the block of flats. Paramedics found her dead upon arrival.

A neighbour, Connie Chan, said: "She was lying flat on the floor with clothes pegs and hangers around her." Neighbours believe the woman, described as petite, might have been leaning out to retrieve the clothes poles when she fell. The police were seen taking away the poles as evidence. Ms Chan said: "Her husband and daughter came down. And (her husband) told the policeman 'it’s my wife’." The distraught husband and two teenage daughters huddled at the void deck close to where the body laid, surrounded by friends and relatives who tried to comfort them. Other neighbours described them as a loving family. Police are investigating the incident.
