Wear a condom… and a face mask. Find a sex position that is not face-to-face. Don’t kiss. Avoid saliva… and other secretions. And make it short. That’s what Thailand’s Department of Health is advising. After a prostitute in Western Thailand contracted Covid-19, the department announced nine safe sex guidelines to prevent the spread of the virus.
Along with no kissing, no oral sex, and no anal sex, the department says to shower before sex and to use disinfectant to clean the bed or other areas where sex is performed. Positions should maintain a safe distance between faces. (Don’t worry, we have a so-called “Coronasutra” graphic below.)

People should avoid sex with strangers, according to the Director of the Department of Health’s Office of Reproductive Health, Dr Peerayuth Sanukul. Sex parties, which could result in a cluster outbreak, should be avoided.
The doctor says that before engaging in any sexual activity, people should think about safe sex procedures to prevent the spread of Covid-19. People at high risk of contracting the virus, those who were recently infected, and those who are waiting for test results should all refrain from having sex to reduce the risk of transmission to others, the doctor says.
Back in June, the Department of Health advised that lovers and spouses who are at risk of Covid-19 infection should avoid sex altogether, especially those who are waiting for a test result. The doctor had also warned about sex with strangers.
With the sex worker in Kanchanburi, a province bordering Myanmar, recently testing positive for Covid-19, the department came up with guidelines on how to prevent Covid-19 transmission during intercourse.

Safe sex guidelines by Thailand’s Department of Health…​

1. Wash your hands and shower before and after having sex.
2. Avoid kissing because the Covid-19 virus can be spread through saliva.
3. Refrain from doing oral sex or having anal sex as Covid-19 virus can be contaminated in faeces
4. Use condoms, dental dams, and rubber gloves to reduce contact with saliva or other types of secretions.
5. Wear masks to cover your nose and mouth during sex to prevent the spread of infection through heavy breathing.
6. Favour positions where you are not face-to-face while having sex to avoid contact with saliva or other secretions and spend as little time as possible (Basically, have a quickie.)
7. Avoid group sex or swapping sex partners.
8. Use disinfectants such as 70% alcohol, detergent, bleach to clean the sleeping area or the surface where sex was performed.
9. Condoms, disposable tampons, dental dams, and rubber gloves infected with secretions should be thrown away in a covered bin.

I’m not a doctor so FWIW, but look into PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis) using Truvada and Doxycycline. Supposedly cuts down risk of transmission dramatically. There is on-demand dosing and also post exposure dosing. Truvada is available very cheaply in generic form in Thailand but you need a prescription.

Thai protesters defy detention of leaders to hold 'car mob' rally​

BANGKOK (REUTERS) - Thousands of Thai anti-government protesters drove a convoy of cars and motorcycles through the capital of Bangkok on Tuesday (Aug 10), amid rising anger over the handling of the coronavirus pandemic by Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-o-cha’s administration.
The protesters stopped outside buildings linked to Cabinet members or supporters of Mr Prayuth to make speeches and call for resignations, accusing the government of mismanaging the pandemic and abusing its power to silence critics.
"The government lacks the ability to manage the country, and only see the interests of the elite," Ms Benja Apan, a student activist, said in a statement read out from the top of a truck in Bangkok’s business district.

"If the situation remains like this then we can expect the country to face an unsurvivable disaster," she said.
Hospitals have been pushed to the brink by the latest wave of cases and Thailand reported on Tuesday a record Covid-19 death toll of 235 – nearly four times as many as in the whole of last year.
Thailand's youth-led protest movement appears to be regaining momentum after demonstrations last year attracted hundreds of thousands of people before a crackdown by the authorities.

The protesters have also broken traditional taboos by demanding reform of the monarchy, risking prosecution under a lese majeste law that makes insulting or defaming the king, queen, heir and regent punishable by up to 15 years in prison.
Last weekend, more than a thousand Thai anti-government protesters clashed with police.
The police warned on Tuesday that all public gatherings were currently illegal under Covid-19 emergency rules and vowed to take action against anyone taking part in protests.

"Legal action will be taken against those who campaign via social media outlets and those who take part in such a rally," deputy police spokesman Kissana Phathanacharoen said.
Protest leaders who had spent time in jail over previous demonstrations and been released on bail have gone back into custody in recent days including Panupong "Mike Rayong" Jadnok, Jatupat "Pai" Boonpattararaksa and Parit "Penguin" Chiwarak.
Human rights lawyer Arnon Nampa also faced fresh lese majeste and other charges for a speech he made last week.
Media groups have accused the government of trying to crack down on criticism of its handling of the pandemic through an order to ban dissemination of "false messages" and distorted news.
The government denied it was targeting media but the order has now been revoked after a court last week called it a breach of individual rights and freedom.
