Jah should also check-in into the Holiday Inn Silom. Good Indian Restaurant called Tandoor. 70%+ of hotel guests are Indian. Owner of hotel is Indian and has an apartment at the penthouse floor of hotel.
Perfect trifecta!

Naaaa I had a good deal from Agoda, 3 nights in their ocean wing suit is only 21k baht or 7,000 baht per night S$291 that comes with 2 breakfasts. Thei bloody spa and massage is expensive though.

My virgin trip to Greung theb. Very rushed trip as was in/out for conference.
Initial thoughts, Bangkok's jams can be bad but they do have MRT and BTS as alternatives.
Shopping malls beat SG in terms of size and is more happening. They have gigantic electronic billboards at many places. Food is relatively inexpensive by ASEAN standards. And puying sway mak mak everywhere... Haha
The Thais are quite organized, queues at BTS (at least at Siam BTS) and their street vendors can deploy at night and be off the streets next morning without much trace by the following day. Streets are generally maintained reasonably clean.
Thais seem to love their lotteries as see so many lottery vendors everywhere with their flat trays for display.
Must plan next trip soon and will bring family as didn't get to explore beyond some malls.
