i noticed established businesses nowadays either get buy out by bigger companies or they close their shop.

from how i observe the sinkie economy structure, either you get spotted by Eduardo Saverin, sell off later or you just quietly disappear into thin air like those HDB shops and stallholders who have to pay exorbitant rental. there won't be any more sim wong hoo, no more...our current era is different from his start-up era.

It's all about rent collection and franchising. :wink:
