3 teenagers arrested for mischief by fire and theft

SINGAPORE - Three youths between the age of 13 and 14 have been arrested for mischief by fire and shop theft at Yishun.
The teenagers were burning papers and playing with fire in the vicinity of Yishun Street 81 last Tuesday morning. Officers found several lighters and lighter fluid in their possession, which had been stolen from stores in the neighbourhood earlier .
Further investigations showed that they could be involved in several other mischief by fire cases in the Yishun area,
If convicted, they may face up to seven years in prison and a fine for shop theft and up to 10 years in prison and up to a $10,000 fine for mischief by fire.
