KUALA LUMPUR: A 15-year-old teenager was detained by police for allegedly raping his mother in their home in Cheras here.
City CID deputy chief Asst Comm Khairi Ahrasa said the incident allegedly occurred when the 44-year-old mother, who works as a waitress in an entertainment outlet, returned home intoxicated at about 2am Wednesday.
“The woman claimed that she went into the son’s bedroom by mistake and slept in the room for several hours.
“When she woke up, she saw her son naked on top of her,” he told reporters at the City police headquarters.
ACP Khairi said the woman then pushed the teenager away and hit him before complaining about the incident to a neighbour who advised her to lodge a police report.
He added that initial investigations revealed that the teenager was watching pornographic materials on his handphone before the incident.
It is learnt that the teenager’s sister was also present in the home at the time of the incident.
ACP Khairi said the teenager was arrested after the incident while the victim has been referred to University Kebangsaan Malaysia Hospital.
The case was being investigated under Section 376A of the Penal Code for incest.
Under Section 376A, a person is said to have committed incest if he has sexual intercourse with another person whose relationship to him is such that he is not permitted to marry her under the law, religion or custom.
