Moment taxi driver finally finds song his dead mother loved after 20-year search
The video from South Africa showed the emotional man singing along to ‘Luo Love Song’, which he first heard in Congo when growing up, according to Reddit user Hotspur000.
His mother would play it constantly after getting it on tape from a store but after the family moved to South Africa in the 1990s, she lost the tape and died a short while later.
The taxi driver had been searching for the song ever since and finally found it thanks to the help of a Taiwanese couple visiting the country who heard him humming it.
The video showed how elated he was when listening to the track and he made sure to save it so it would not take him another 20 years to find.
