SINGAPORE - The driver of a private bus was trapped in his vehicle after it collided with a tipper truck on the Marina Coastal Expressway (MCE) on Tuesday evening.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), which received a call about the incident at 6.17pm, freed the man using hydraulic rescue tools. There were a total of 28 casualties, but no fatalities.

Thirteen people were sent to the Singapore General Hospital, nine to Tan Tock Seng Hospital and six to Changi General Hospital.

Today I was walking pass this road which is a dead end that leads nowhere. It is a popular place for motorists to park without paying. Of course it is illegal because nothing is free in Spore.

Anyway I saw this motor cycle LTA guy standing guard nearby daring anyone to park on that street. I thought that it was dumb because people are not stupid & they will wait until he is gone. That road was a dead end, so anyone parking there would not have obstructed other motorists.

phew! only injuries. if there are deaths, sinkies would kpkb gov to ban all vehicles on roads and expressways to prevent further tragedies.

Casualties refer to people who died or were injured/wounded. Fatalities refer to people who died.
