Voters r ready to vote for a credible Opp but r the Opp credible and ready?? They may be some that will heck care and vote Opp anyway but they r in the minority. So it's up to the Opp now. They have to get their Act together and act as united front and not fight amongst each other.

Hehe all the pap ibs crawling out from the woodwork.

Continue voting vile pappies is machiam continue taking poison.....it will definitely kill you if it hasn't already.
Opposition might not be the exact cure or it could be....
Only a dumbfuck would knowingly carry on taking poison and not try to find a cure.

Hahaha....this forum is manifestation of real world....
The demonstratIon Of cronyism here made the papee looks like angel....
Here as long as u are my cliche u are protected from criticism...

How can the oppo be ready when at this critical juncture one idiot labeled the most credible oppo party swap as a fake oppo party ???
Instead of being taken to task his vile supporters turn a blind eye and like a broken record continue to blame the discerning manority...truly retarded

It's not a case of PAP vs Oppo with Singaporeans as bystanders.

Singaporeans don't seem to realise that the scenario is one where it's PAP vs the country.

If if the oppo is not ready, it simply means Singaporeans aren't doing enough collectively to win the battle to ensure their own survival.

It's all very well to push someone else to the frontline and expect them to win the battle on your behalf but at the end of the day if you don't fight for your own survival nobody is going to do it for you.

The solution to this issue is very simple. If you don't like the way the PAP is running the country then vote against them even if a clown is the oppo candidate.

Whatever is cobbled together after the election will still mean that change will happen.

If you just vote the PAP again all you'll get is more of the same. If that is what you want then go for it.

How could splintered groups do any good?

Voting for the opposition is better than voting for the PAP.

If people vote for the PAP you can expect the the same policies that are causing the problems we are having now. However If you vote non-PAP you are sending a clear message to LHL as well as putting in more people into parliament that will ask questions.

Hahaha.....taking fake medicine will not cure u. In fact u will die faster...lol.

So wp is out...luckily we have goh mad seng cumming to rescue us....

The Opp by remaining dis-united and not progressing r the ones doing the country in rather than PAP. Very few in their right minds will entrust the controls to a mish mash group of diff political fractions. The Opp got to band together to provide a credible force. Msia for all their faults manage it with Pakatan Rakyat. We should have something similar.

Unite! they cant even do internally. LTK oust JBJ and Chee oust Chiam. JBJ and Chiam are truly the only opposition we can safely say aint mole of the MIW.

If the Arabs failed to unite against common enemy Israel in their past wars, our opposition parties will not succeed in uniting as one. Opposition unity, imo, is a madman's notion.

Good observation. Pay attention to those surrounding LTK and CSJ when they demolished JBJ and CST respectively. One man CMI. You need ''supporters'' to demonise and destroy your targets.

PAP is already led by a natural aristocratic clown who wore a lanjiao balloon on his head. What can be worse?

Then the PAP will forever rule. WP may grab a couple of GRCs, but that's it.

Some people like to harp on a credible, ready and competent opposition, but it seems that the PAP is not credible, ready or competent despite being in charge since independence.

Our balloon-headed pink shirt aristocrat would have never become the PM had it not been for his father. Pinky's apologists claim that 'he was groomed for the job'. Sometimes I wonder what sort of grooming did he receive.

Well said, boss.

When I do my routine "evangelism" for sinkies to vote for oppositions, I often get the impressions that sinkies think voting for an MP is akin to picking a private tutor for their children or future son-in-law. They will talk often the jobs that the opposition members hold, and how inferior compared to candidates put forward by the ruling party.

If you want a baby, you don't just wake up on morning and the wife gives you a baby instantly.

You need to do the work like provide nice environment for her to ovulate, then fertilize her, provide nutrition, and it takes nine months.

Are Singaporeans ready to help nurture a reserve government to ensure no surprises in the future? Their assets and family are at stake in future. Want to put all eggs in one basket? One basket already showing some eggs cracked, cracking.....

Let's not bother or keep harping about whether the opposition is united or not across the country. We are not opposition leaders and can't do anything about it. If we wanted to, we will have to form new parties, which makes it worse.

Everyone lives within one constituency and has only one vote. Just focus on our own constituencies will do. I am confident most constituencies will be straight fights. Vote any non-PAP in a straight fight.

Let the few who live in constituencies with 3CF sort out their own decisions.

In the event you live in a constituency with 3CF, choose either WP, SDP or SPP. These 3 parties will not go to 3CF with one another.

Hi bro, I cannot speak for the other oppo. parties because I do not know them well enough.

As far as I know, the SDP team has been working non-stop immediately after the last GE ended in May 2011.

The SDP team has done everything possible with whatever meager resources they could garner; from publishing policy papers (in healthcare, housing, population, education, ministerial salaries, shadow budget, town council management, etc.,); publishing their newsletter "the New Democrat" regularly; organizing forums, seminars, open house, etc., to monthly walkabouts, and weekly house to house visits... the SDP has done them all.

So, yes, the SDP is ready. :)

The ball is in the voters' court now. :)

It will be good if more citizens can join the SDP in their weekly house to house visits as shown by the pictures below:
