They're not small. These are 700 kg bulls.

In comparison, bulls in Spanish bullfighting are actually smaller: >460 kg (rank 1), >435 Kg (rank 2), >410 kg (rank 3). The largest Spanish bulls don't go above 600 kg.

Cow = female (no horns)
Bull = male (horns)
Calf = young bull or cow

A 700 kg bull is no baby. These bulls are as big, if not bigger than those used in Spanish bullfighting. But it's less cruel – the bulls are not killed at the end. And it takes a lot more courage to wrestle the bulls barehanded than using a sword and banderillas.

It is a sport that brings injury and even death to both parties - but Chinese wrestlers were happy to get to grips with bulls in a ring at the weekend.

Spanish fighting bulls are of special breeds, known for their aggression. They are further specially picked for bullfight. The rest becomes meat bull. This Chinese version of bull wrestling appeared to be a test of the Cowboys' skill in bring a meat bull to the ground. Such Bulls are not aggressive but accident can still happen.

Seriously guys after watching the video I realized that the animals could have been the wrestlers' pets looking at them leading the animal in the ring, these ain't no wild fighting animals the challenge is to wrestle the bull down thats all.

When I first saw this thread I thought the chinks were fight a wild Spanish bull bare handed.

In chink weight ; 1 斤＝ 0.5kg ; 1kg = 两斤。700斤＝ 350kg
