Our state-controlled newspaper twisted the contents of an OECD report on the performances of students on maths and science tasks.

Read the article "Singapore tops world's most comprehensive education rankings", The Straits Times, front page, May 14 2015 for yourself and compare the reports dished out by the following internationally respected media:

If Singapore school is best in science and Maths , why is that latest technology comes from Japan , Germany and America ?

no 1 in education is farking BS if they can fetch even close to 10% of ivy league in fact it is outperformed by south pacific university as the most demanding degree in singapore and fully recognised by singapore gahment.

The OECD report is based on assessments in maths and science only. The BBC and other international news media reported it accurately.

On the other hand, our state-controlled print media reported it as "most comprehensive" [sic] giving the false impression that in addition to maths and science, other criteria had been used as well.

When interviewed on BBC World News, the BBC Education reporter pointed out the OECD report was deficient in NOT including innovation and creativity as a criterion in measuring students' performance.
