Its the cyclist fault. He should just let the car pass by just slowing down a little. No need to be so aggressive. Cyclist should be defensive when on the road otherwise they will be hurt. Besides, most major roads are not suitable for cyclist as traffic flow is just too fast. Only kampung roads are OK.

Because cyclist not being defensive. Cyclist cannot behave like cars on the road. In any accident, cyclist will get hurt the most. So its in their interest to give way even though they have right of way.

I agree, the cyclist was too aggressive. In most accidents between a cyclist and a car, the cyclist suffers. I cycle too, but not on busy congested roads during the day.

If the vehicle was a tipper truck and crushed the car, then would you say the car driver did not drive defensively? The car driver was obviously being a dick by not giving way to a smaller vehicle.

They should ban cyclists from roads except between certain non peak hours. They are nuisances and a menace to themselves and other motorists. I would tolerate them if cycling was a means of transportation. The main road is not for recreational use. Joggers keep to the pavement for obvious reasons. If a runner took to the main road and used the traffic lanes the TP would have hauled him in providing he wasn't crushed senseless by that time.
If cyclists want to play chicken with cars they should accept being run over as a sporting injury. I have said it before. Cycling on our roads is an adventure sport.
