SMRT is not really that "moving forward" as we thought it is.
For years, majority of the profits was not invested back in maintaining and upgrading of their systems and infrastructure.
You can clearly see that all their stations, platforms, trains and even information display is only meant for putting up advertisement to earn $$$.
