StarHub mobile voice services down intermittently in various parts of Singapore

SINGAPORE - Telco StarHub said on Wednesday that its mobile voice services are down intermittently in certain areas in eastern and western Singapore.


But its mobile data services are not affected, StarHub said on its Facebook shortly after 11am.


"Dear customers, we are facing an intermittent issue with mobile voice services in certain eastern and western areas.


"Our mobile data services are not affected. We are working on restoring voice services for affected customers as quickly as possible. Thank you."


Some customers have also complained on StarHub's facebook page that they could not make or receive phone calls even though they are in the northern and central parts of Singapore.


Affected areas also include Ang Mo Kio, Woodlands, Orchard Road and Novena, according to their reports online.


The problem started as early as 9am for some customers. As at 2.40pm, the network was still not restored.

Rectification works are underway for customers affected by the intermittent mobile voice call issue in some areas today. Our mobile data and SMS services are not affected. We will bring you further updates as soon as we have more information. Thank you.

It's resuming already. If the powers that be allow WiMAX, the 3 telcos can close down

go smell the trees and the flowers and get some fresh air!

Will starhub give free airtime?

It was M1 a few months ago & now it is the turn of Starhub. Didn't Singtel have a fire affecting the fibre networks?

Our MRT system is just as unreliable as our telcos. All these clowns are paid world class salaries & yet their organizations keep dropping the ball.

IDA investigate for fuck? Fine Starhub and transfer money from left pocket to right pocket? Will anything change?

Under this govt, we are now a country of breakdowns,MRT, SGX, Starhub, Singtel, Changi Airport ( transit trains), Marina Bay Sands (lifts, power on opening day)...the list goes on.

As predicted we are becoming more like Pinoyland, PRC and India i.e 3rd world quality at 1st world prices.
