Two killed, 4 hurt after car slams into tree
TWO people died and four others were injured in an accident that saw a car wrecked after it slammed into a tree yesterday morning.
The white Volkswagen crashed through a road barrier and rammed into a tree on a road divider on the East Coast Parkway along Marine Vista.
Police said they received a call about the accident at 7.32am.
The driver and a woman in the passenger seat were pronounced dead at the scene, while the four seated at the back were taken to Changi General Hospital for treatment.
The driver is believed to be Jamie Ho, 33, a director and associate publisher at Magazines Integrated.
He specialised in "interactive media, mobile broadcasts and events marketing, particularly for cyber-gaming and e-sports", according to the company's website.
Mr Ho and his father, Ho Sum Kwong, are both listed as directors of Magazines Integrated in Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority records.
The group publishes food magazine Epicure, as well as special-interest magazines Pets and Hooked.
Mr Ho was the associate publisher of Hooked, which caters to fishing enthusiasts. He was an avid angler, as evidenced by the dozens of photos on his Facebook page that show him holding up his catch.
His father told Shin Min Daily News that they had spoken just the night before. He had promised to help resolve an issue with his father's computer.
He loved to travel and was a filial boy, his father added.
Lianhe Wanbao identified the other fatality as Chen Ren Yi, 24, a Taiwanese woman.
It is understood that both of them and one of the passengers at the back were trapped in their seats at first.
Police investigations are ongoing.

“Normal coffins cater to people with a shoulder width of about 53cm. Jamie’s shoulders measure about 69cm,” Mr Ho told The New Paper on Friday (May 2).

looking at the video once again, the driver of the dashboard cam actually gave way to this VW driver.
the VW driver shouldn't be driving at such speed if he needs to make an exit at Marine Vista... seem as though last minute instruction given to him to make an exit, hence the tragedy.

3 ladies and a guy at the back seat, the driver and the veh-com perished. looking at the wreckage, the impact on the tree could easily break their neck and/or crush their skulls. those survivors must be terribly traumatized...
imagine the vehicle slamming into the tree where the rear seat passengers are located...
Its not really tragic.. Look at the way this Fat Fuck drove his car.. This kind of Yaya drivers are the ones that cause danger to other motorists with their reckless driving manner.. He's better off dead but too bad he brought along an innocent passenger together with him in the Netherworld..

I posted the vid already. The car that the video taker was on probably travelling around 100km/hr and the VW just zoomed past it like in a split second.
What was the reason for him going so fast? Imagine being a passenger in his car. I wonder if the other passengers told him to slow the fuck down.

From the video, the car just flip instantly upon hitting the kerb and hit the tree. At such speed, the impact would be very big and death would be instantaneous. Wonder how the rear passengers are doing?
Its all an ego thing.. You got a VW, pretty chicks in your car and the urge to show off will always be there..
