Motorcycle thief arrested within 5 hours of report

SINGAPORE - Police have arrested a 47-year-old man who is believed to be responsible for a case of motorcycle theft near Ayer Rajah Crescent within 5 hours of the report.
On May 7 at about 10.15 am, a 48-year-old man made a police report that his motorcycle was stolen.
Through the review of CCTV images and ground enquiries, officers managed to establish the identity of the suspect and arrested him along Queens Street on the same day at about 3.15 pm.
He will be charged for Theft of Motor Vehicle under Section 379A of the Penal Code. If convicted, he faces a maximum jail term of 7 years and shall also be liable to a fine.
