dunno leh bro. Tried to figure out but cant. All i know is the second one is very hairy and erect.

They look quite similar but totally unlike even though both as branches and twigs. Keep guessing bro...:)
 
Is it the difference between 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional? The 3-dimensional picture seems to also have a more solid intertwining trunk.

This was taken over the desert of Baja California, Mexico. The water seeping through the sands make a beautiful scene, doesn't it? These fractals are the blueprint of all creation and we find the same structures in plant growth, their root systems and our blood vessels. Awesome!

much as the fractals look random, there's always a structure from a different vantage point :):):)

there's a difference yet similarity between fractals of water flow through a desert and fractals of branches on a tree. they don't criss cross or overlap in the former. they do in the latter as the tree is 3-dimensional seen in 2 dimensions. if the tree is shown in 3 dimensions, the fractals do not criss cross or overlap.
