Wayang report on political stipends to be submitted by Dec 30

SINGAPORE: The Wayang committee that is reviewing overly generous stipends of the rubber-stamp President, Paramount Leader, political minions and Peasants' Representatives aka lackeys said it has completed its deliberations and is finalising the report.

In a media release on Friday, crony Gerard Ee said the report will be submitted to Ruler Loong by December 30.

He said there has been speculation on whether the committee would be submitting its report.

He said, "We are obeying Ruler Loong's decree and it is only right that we cronies submit to him. Peasants should not grumble and claim we are dragging our feet."

Crony Ee also said as to how and when the report will be made public, the committee will stand guided by the Ruler Loong because peasants will surely grumble that the report concurs with Old Autocrat's opinion. In addition, as cronies, we are in favour that regime supporters continue to enjoy sky high stipends and pensions so that they do go follow Clinton and venture overseas for talk shows.

Crony Ee also crowed if peasants have no other comments other than moans, he would love to visit cheap La Sup bars to unwind.

The salary study was done to appease the general public arising from the dismal showing in the GE. The bulk of the Lee wealth does not come from the public purse. They use private vehicles, family trusts and nominees to shield their wealth and their holdings. Even if the review suggested a $1 as annual salary, its not going to put anyone's noses out of joint.

The salary was never the key, it was always access and power. Why would Ng and Shanmugam give up lucrative professions for something that was much lower.

The real rub is when the Prime Minister requires his entire cabinet and Members of Parliament to publicly declare their direct and indirect wealth of themselves and their immediate family members prior and post parliament. This will not happen.

Had actually met Ee Peng Liang when he was alive, you can say that for honesty, sincerity & integrity; wishing I can say that about the people running the country.
