The first and second PAP generation leaders were against gambling. They worked hard for SG and made sure that Singaporeans progressed and yet were sheltered fomr the ills of addiction.

The 3rd generation PAP leaders led by the useless LHL, were bankrupt of ideas and took the easy way by legalising and building casinos. The ill efefcts will be seen in yrs to come. LHL and his team has caused irreparable damage to SG and Singaporeans.

Dont blame LKY for the casinos. we must be fair

don't blame LHL.. without the blessing of his dad...the casino won't take place.

They have no choice, they are running out ideas of to bring in tourist money - it is a neccessary evil.

Without the casino, where else can they draw money? The attractions of Singapore can be seen within 1 day, 2 day max...and we are no longer the shopping heaven like the old days....

Don't gamble is the best. I've visited casinos in Genting, US and Australia, just as holiday resorts. I would usually walk around, stand by some tables to watch a few games to amuse myself with the players' ups and downs, much like window shopping or watching horse racing without punting. I've never spent more than an hour inside any casino.

I've never been to RWS and MBS. I'm not going to pay the levy just for a leisure visit. So I don't know much about them, but in other casinos that I've visited, the food is usually good and inexpensive. I'm not talking about restaurants around or near the casino; I'm talking about restaurants in the casino itself.

Yes, go to the hotels and casinos to enjoy but not to gamble.
