You know what ? Wherever I go.. there is always a word that describes me.. "Efficiency".. I told me wifey, I rated myself as top 20% in Australia.. by efficiency, test results, brian power, salary, suburb etc...

However, on contrary, I can't even make it through NTU/NUS ??!! Either SG standard is too ridiculously high or I'm simply too stupid under on their system... Now, I am thankful, I'm the best among the worst..

I am the youngest among all, hence, it is inevitable that they have doubts in me.. given the equal opportunities, I should be replacing them in no time

PS: Don't get any mates involved. You don't need them. A small profitable e-commerce site can be run single handedly. Getting other parties involved simply complicates matters when you start earning some serious money. If you do need help in a particular area, just subcontract the task to a freelancer.

Spot on ! becoz of their inability to think long term or plan large scale.. this means our skills are extremely rare and valuable. Australia has to thank me of creating the awareness within the organisation.. In the past, they were cherry picking easy assignment/project. Now, I am teaching the kampong uncles to handle complex cases, hehehe.

You can't do e-commerce on a part time basis. it's a 16 hour day especially at the beginning when you're trying to establish your domain name and move up the rankings to the point where you can actually get decent traffic.

I used to spend from 6 am to 11 pm on my computer trying to figure out why traffic wasn't coming my way and why 95% of visitors left after only one page view. It took more than a couple of years of trial and error in order to get the formula right.

Then, when you think you can take things easy, along come a whole host of competitors to steal your customers and your conversions go to hell forcing you to start all over again.

It has nothing to do with being "vocal". Your problem is lack of drive, determination and ingenuity.

For example, when I suggested giving e-commerce a try, your response was to rope a "mate" in to help you out. A resourceful person would put nose to grindstone and figure out what was needed.

Yo Uncle Sam, you have no idea how much IT knowledge i have.. basically zero.. :p But I have lots of drive for real estate related stuff.. from acquisition to planning, development to disposal... & DIY.. I am running my 3 private projects all in one go.. also my job.. hectic lifestyle lah..

I am building wealth for the moment, once cashflow is fat enough to pay bills & lifestyle, I may start the e-commence or F&B.. 16 hrs is too much for me for the moment, esp when I have a little one running around, makes it difficult.. unless, I fully sub-contract out..:p

I think I am a resourceful person & I think I have gone beyond the survival period.. right now, I am building wealth into my family trust..

I have a suggestion for you.
Since you seem to be financially well off and are also thinking about what you can do, why don't you do something or invent something new or innovative that is of great benefit to mankind?
I don't know what it is, but since you have time and brains, perhaps you can figure that out and do it.
Instead of simply investing in property, equities, bonds, currencies, working for someone, doing a business that a thousand other people are already doing, why not do something or invent something that nobody has ever done before, which is of use to people.
This may not only create great wealth for you but also leave a lasting legacy.

Sam has already done something to benefit us, he started more than 10 years ago and still going strong.
I don't know what Scroobal does but he does some moderating here I think, so that does benefit us a little as well.
But these things are still things others have done, why not do or invent something completely different?
For me, I'm thinking of starting a vigilante for justice group, something like what that fella Timothy Hutton does on the tv series Leverage, only not so high tech or clever.
