Century Square @ Tampines central underwent its first major overhaul late last year after more than two decades of operation, and reopened on 6 June 2018 to the general public. Managed by AsiaMalls, majority of the 136 leased shop units have commenced business, the remaining tenants expected to open from end June to end August.
Anchor tenants include Mahota Market, a grocery facility at basement 1 which replaces a previous edition of NTUC Fairprice Finest (it also has another outlet Mahota Commune located at Kitchener Complex near Lavender MRT station), enrichment centre The Learning Lab at L3, ToTT (selling exclusive cooking, baking and hosting-related merchandise ) at L2, 24-hour gym operator GymmBoxx at L3, arcade cum amusement hub Virtualand alongside Filmgarde Cineplex (taking over the premises vacated by Shaw Cineplex) at L5.
Home grown fashion label M)phosis (L1 near the lift landing) gets relaunched after its high profile trademark acquisition by local apparel brand Decks; American sportswear and footwear retailer Foot Locker, botanical beauty experts Yves Rocher and enduring TCM establishment Kin Teck Tong have also set up shop in the newly refurbished mall. Some additional interesting concepts which have popped up: Buttercup By Addiction (Nail Art Printing), The Grey Space (minimalist handbags and accessories) and Ecok Charcoal House ( bamboo charcoal products).
