Today is not a good day. In fact, today is the worst day because the world is grappling with the loss of Carrie Fisher. She passed away early on December 27th, due to complications from a heart attack she had on December 23rd, and for the last few days we’ve all hoped and prayed for the best. It’s always hard to deal when a loved one (and a loved icon) passes away, but the touching messages both Disney and Lucasfilm have released are easing the loss of Carrie as best they can.
Disney bought Lucasfilm (and all of Star Wars) back in 2012, and that means that Carrie’s now gone from not one, but two huge families. Disney’s statement will remind you just how much she was loved by all:
“Carrie Fisher was one-of-a-kind, a true character who shared her talent and her truth with us all with her trademark wit and irreverence. Millions fell in love with her as the indomitable Princess Leia; she will always have a special place in the hearts of Star Wars fans as well as all of us who were lucky enough to know her personally. She will be sorely missed, and we join millions of fans and friends around the world who mourn her loss today.” Bob Iger, CEO of The Walt Disney Company

As for Lucasfilm — the production company that put her on the map back in 1977 with Star Wars — we’re reminded that she was Princess Leia, but she was also so much more:
“Carrie holds such special place in the hearts of everyone at Lucasfilm it is difficult to think of a world without her. She was Princess Leia to the world but a very special friend to all of us. She had an indomitable spirit, incredible wit, and a loving heart. Carrie also defined the female hero of our age over a generation ago. Her groundbreaking role as Princess Leia served as an inspiration of power and confidence for young girls everywhere. We will miss her dearly.” – Kathleen Kennedy, President of Lucasfilm
We’ve got more tributes and statements to Carrie over here on HelloGiggles, and we’re sending love to everyone who needs it right now.

Re: Princess Leia had a heart attack!

In my humble opinion, as long as you're still exercising/cycling at least twice every week and refraining from eating too much meat and sugary food, you're unlikely to die from a heart attack before 60 or even 70, especially if you're only 50 years old this year (assuming "25 May 66" is your real date of birth).

Many (possibly, and probably, all) relatives (both male and female) of mine eat meat and sugary food regularly and seldom (maybe even never) exercise, and many of them are already at least 60 years old, obviously not in very good health, but don't seem sick enough to die within the next five years.

Three of my four grandparents died well after their 80th birthdays and they were all meateaters.
My remaining grandparent is 80 years old this year and is also a meateater.
But of course, their health was not good during their old age, so they had to suffer for some years before dying.

If your risk of heart attack and stroke is extremely low. Then chances are one will die of cancer.

I have seen these super fit oldies who thought they are invincible. Then when told they have cancer they are in complete shock go into denial and get depressed.

moral of the story: must grab pussies and fuck the shit out of a fawning chiobu before one hits 69. perhaps can becum presidential by 70.

The Empire strikes back! That's what happens when you make too many Star Wars movies that where the Empire keeps losing. Hans Solo next? He's pretty old too.

Re: Princess Leia had a heart attack!

han solo is already kaput.

Then maybe Luke Skywalker should be next. Hamill is old, fat and out-of-shape. He's career isn't much better other than his gig playing the Joker in the cartoons.

the next 2 episodes of stars wars are in trouble as princess leia is supposed to be in charge of war efforts. as for han solo, they don't need him anymore after the last, thus they killed him off.

She gone even better still. Can save on actor's salary and replace her with CGI graphics. Just give her family token fee for the use of her image. They did it in the Rogue 1 movie with Grand Moff Tarkin. Brought the character back even though the original actor upped the lorry years ago.

Hans Solo de-virginated Princess Leia when she was still a teenager during the filming of Star Whores. For that alone, he should die a slow painful death.

Re: Princess Leia had a heart attack!

grand moff tarkin was moderately ok. princess leia was horrid.

Who gives a shit about tarkin, Leia was a major character, I thought Lucasfilm CGI damn powerful. Turned out like shit. The Grand Moff Tarkin character started out ok, then some how because he had a rather lengthy dialogue piece, i could clearly see the CG. Peter Cushing was never that gaunt looking as far as I know.
