Based on the latest figures, the benchmark salary for a minister at "MR4" grade, inclusive of bonuses, should be $1.2 million per year, but the Government has kept it at $1.1 million - the 2011 level, Teo Chee Hean said.

An entry-level minister at the MR4 grade will receive an annual salary of $935,000, the starting point of the MR4 grade range.

PAP can try to make it leegal. But it remains immoral. After pap lost Aljunied GRC in 2011, the peoples' message was loud and clear to them and they reduced their pay by abt 20%. But it is still obscene. If Aljunied residents didnt speak up, the pap would not only have not reduced their salaries but wld have likely increased it further. We must continue to speak up as the peoples' voice is the best check and balance when politicians are greedy. That is the only way we can counter a greedy pap regime
