It is sad that many of the so called 'heroes' who do well in public life have sordid private lives. We remember David Ong, the ex-MP for Bukit Batok who fell from grace because of 'personal indiscretion'. Now, we have Edmund Kwok who was the one of the best CEO in the words of NKF 's Chairman, sacked because of 'personal indiscretion'.
What does it tell us ?
If it tells us anything, it is that heroes are only human. They are not perfect. They succumb to temptation and yield to the weakness of the flesh.

Both of them serve the community and their organization well. Their contributions to the community are well known in public. Many looked to them for help. They put in hard sacrifices to their work. They won the respect and admiration of many under their leadership and mentorship.
I am sure it is very hard for those people who are under Edmund Kwok 's mentorship to take in the news of his sacking.
C'mon lah. Just because a guy's served his organization well does not mean that he's got no sex drive or he has to lead a monk's life. We're all human and have our physiological needs. The only mistake Kwok made was being indiscreet by approaching a Christian homophobe; some people's gaydars need tuning up!
This guy just happens to be gay; that's why he's being persecuted. If he were straight and had propositioned his female colleagues, it would have been passed off as a male boss's privilege. Sexual harassment goes on all the time, even in countries where women's rights are strong, and no one bats an eyelid.
Trump is the supreme example of a guy who got away regularly with serial sexual harassment; to top it all he even got into the most powerful office in the world.
