But just like "fat genes" have to be activated by an unhealthy diet and lack of exercise before such a person can become fat (and I think you will agree with me on this because you've posted about this issue before), people with "cancer genes" can only contract cancer if those "cancer genes" are activated by an unhealthy diet, mainly meat and sugar:

Have to disagree with you because I know someone with breast cancer who recovered by improving their diet & taking various supplements like fucoidan, vitamin, ...etc . The cancer area dried up & reduced in size, all without chemo.
I wouldn't recommend anyone do chemo until they have tried the alternative strategie because chemo weakens the body making it harder for alternative strategies to work.
No one can give a 100% guarantee that these alternative cures will work. The same can be said for chemo. Some doctors will even tell you that chemo does not work
I guess many factors are involved such as the stages of cancer, genetics, health habbits,.. etcOnly a small % have genes that predisposes them to cancer. The vast majority are exposure to known carcinogens - tobacco, sunlight, certain chemicals, cured meat etc. The mystery is how much is too bad especially diet.
There is also no scientific evidence to suggest that eating organic food, taking supplements or following a specific diet will prevent cancer.
Except for the gene related cases which are small in numbers, the rest have to avoid known carcinogens, the known risk factors and look for luck.

My relative who had breast cancer was using a made in Japan fucoidan which sold for $300 a bottle. You have to understand japanese to read the japanese wording on the bottle.
Can't tell how effective it was because she was taking many, many different things to combat the cancer e.g. AHCC, NAC, cruciferous vegetable supplements, DIM, indole3, .... One or more of it worked because the cancer shrunk & disappeared

What I know was that the cancer original was only at one area, it was subsequently removed surgical. Cancer marker check, no signs, but after a month later, went to do scanning, it was found in bone and some other areas.
Understand from what I heard, it's considered under stage 4, but I am not so sure what's the definition in his case, whether stage 2 or ??

usually it is stage 4 liao if spread to bone. i guess your friend initially diagnosed as prostate cancer but then spread to bone.

You misunderstood. I'm not talking about being predisposed to cancer. Good genes refers to those who can smoke 2 packs a day for 50 years and still be hale and hearty.
My 93 year old neighbor is one such person. He's had all sorts of growths removed over the years and not a single one has been malignant. He worked with asbestos when he was young and smoked like a chimney till diagnosed with COPD a few years ago.
He's been bombarded with carcinogens from all angles and still no cancer.
