Minorities and special position of Malays
152. —
(1) It shall be the responsibility of the Government constantly to care for the interests of the racial and religious minorities in Singapore.
(2) The Government shall exercise its functions in such manner as to recognise the special position of the Malays, who are the indigenous people of Singapore, and accordingly it shall be the responsibility of the Government to protect, safeguard, support, foster and promote their political, educational, religious, economic, social and cultural interests and the Malay language.’ .
It's in the Singapore constitution Article 152.
Article 152 says..... Never mention Malay land leh.. only referring to Malays as indigenous people of Singapore... sound much like a aborigine which is like an extinct species

Assalamualaikum,
We are not yet ready to drop Article 152. While I believe that - in the future - Article 152 should be dropped eventually - HOWEVER - the time is not yet right because we have not yet succeeded in building a truly multi-cultural society.
Wassalam

You need to look up the meaning of the word "indigenous".
The Chinks are classified as "indigenous" too provided they're where they should be rather than where they are not welcome.
adjective
originating or occurring naturally in a particular place; native : the indigenous peoples of Siberia | coriander is indigenous to southern Europ
To me, it is an insulting term if it is used.. it means you are not able to stand by your own and need extra protections to survive..Like the Chinks you used; that was the term used on Chinese by the Westerners in those days to look down on them...and it is not a very nice term..
That's because it was used in that context but on its own it is an innocuous term.
BTW it would appear that sinkies are asking for extra protection from FT too. Perhaps they are no longer able to stand on their own two feet against more talented foreigners.

We Malays Owned this Land. All Others, please fuck off! :oIo:
Is that why all the pizza and Mcdonalds delivery jobs are strictly reserved for them?
Throw out the Indians and Chinese.
This is Malay Land!!!
It's a racist slur but notice how freely it's used and you don't see chinese ppl coming in screaming racist ah you racist! Some of them that use it actually condone "racism" like when when you call malays m&d for example but have no problem with racist terms like chink.
