Was at Changi Airport this afternoon and saw the combined armed patrol by Army and Police Force. Both me and my brother's reaction were the same: act seh.

Why did we say so? The SAF soldiers were wearing sunglasses. I have no idea what sort of cutting-edge technologies were embedded in those glasses, but from the look of it they look real cock.

Hmm... but they(the patrol, not the glasses) do serve as a form of deterrence and assurance to the people, both tourists and locals. We even saw Police K-9~! The doggy was quite cute, must have sniffed lotsa marijuana, heroin or TNT during training...

This photo is taken straight from the Army news!!!!! So COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

With Government Issue Oakley M-Frame glasses issue to these buggers, I really wonder what purpose does it really serve in indoor environments.

I wonder how they can see in low lit terminal areas when they are wearing dark iridium lenses. You can't differentiate targets cleary when everything you see is dark dark. The only thing I rationalise is some vendor make a killing offering these premium glasses to the forces.

Overall, only one statement to describe our SAF. Good to see, not good to eat.

I saw these boys scouts doing patrols at Serangoon Gardens as well during my lunch breaks there...

Same conclusion, act seh nia! Pui!

But they can act garang in front of their girlfriends... And those gals can swoon: 'Wah! So macho!'

Yeah right! Pui! Pui!

Even kids half their age from the Vietnam War era have seen more action and killed more men than them!

This wayang show of boy scouts patrolling the streets is another bright idea from WCS no doubt!

So good at wayang go join Mediacorpse or something, may end up getting an Oscars for being the best paper tigers ever!

LOL!

I bet those criminals watching from afar are laughing their arse off seeing these boy scouts!

The all look good in Singapore.

However, once the cross the borders up North, they become a bunch of sissies getting robbed and bullied by the Malaysians.

From the picture posted, it would appear the boys in green are not wearing body armour.

Is the rifle and the type of ammunition used appropriate in the event of a firefight in the airport (should an attack similar to the Mumbai Train station take place)?

Are those on patrol good marksmen? Their rifle rounds can travel very far if they missed their targets and can hit innocent bystanders. Likewise, high velocity rounds can go through their intended targets and hit innocent bystanders too not to mention the possibility of deadly richochets.

If there really are Mumbai Style terrorists staging an attack on Changi Airport, those high profile boys in green strutting around would be hit first because low profile terrorists would be carrying concealed weapons/grenades and won't be strutting around with exposed weapons and uniforms.

Terrorist can see them but they cannot see the terrorist with their glamorous shades !

The NSF boys in green not wearing body army but sunglasses are I believe the 'sacrificial lambs' for terrorists to shoot at first thereby exposing their positions and identities. The real counter-terrorists response team who are in mufti will then know where to return fire.

No need analyse until like that. They are not issued with live ammo when they are on patrol in the terminal.

1st photo. those sunglasses were photoshoped onto their faces?? look very closely again. definitely photoshopped. the soldier on the left, only got the lens on. its like wearing a bra with only the cups (suction cups). no vertical or horizontal backstraps.
