In that particular situation, the police were right not to use their firearms. They, especially the first responders, would not have enough rounds to stop the mob that was there, and would have escalated the violence.
What is surprising is that no non-lethal force (teargas and water cannon) was used. Or did those come too late to be needed?

Three or more person, two or maybe even five mobile squad can handle, hundreds of half drunk shitskin, how many police with balls can you sent? And when i say half drunk, i really mean they are really intoxicated halfway only due to expensive alcoholic drinks in Singapore and the other sober half, shitskin just based it on their imagination to get to the full mark of being drunk!
