By Tan Weizhen
FOR the first time, casual games like Guitar, Hero 3, Fifa 2008 and mobile phone games were introduced at the World Cyber Games (WCG), which kicked off at the Suntec Convention Centre on Thursday.
Many gamers who play such games are making a bid to represent Singapore in the WCG finals to be held in Germany later this year.
At the mobile phone games booth, competitions were held throughout the day and anyone can join in the ongoing session.
For the first time, there is also a World of Warcraft trading segment.
The Singapore WCG was opened by the CEO of Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore, Mr Ronnie Tay.
