New entry fees to Sentosa

<!-- story content : start --> CHARGES to Sentosa Island will be revised from Jan 18 to encourage more people to car pool, in a bid to reduce traffic congestion. The island expects substantial congestion when Resorts World Sentosa opens later this month. Motorists will no longer be charged $2 per passenger, plus the $2 fee for the car. Instead, there will be a flat rate ranging from $2 to $7 depending on the time of the day. Taxi charges will also be revised to a flat rate costing between $2 and $6. To encourage more people to take public transport, (tell that to Raymond Limp!) shuttle buses will now cost $2, down from $3. The frequency of these buses will also be reduced from the current 15 minutes to about seven minutes. Train prices will remain at $3, but car park prices will be revised upwards and there will no longer be a flat fee of $3.21. Instead, motorists will pay $3 for the first four hours and $1 per hour thereafter on weekday mornings and afternoons.On weekends, the prices go up to $5 for the first four horus and $2 per hour thereafter. Weekday evenings are at $1 per entry and $2 per entry on weekend evenings.
