The Health Sciences Authority is investigating the e-vaporiser-related offence.
After a video circulated on Aug. 5 alleging that a Yuying Secondary School student had to be taken to the hospital following the use of a vaping device, the school confirmed that they are aware of the incident.
In response to queries from Mothership, the principal Chong Jack Sheng said the incident took place on Jul. 31.
A student had exhibited aggressive behaviour towards a school staff and the police were contacted for assistance, he said.
The student was subsequently found to be in possession of a vaping device and was brought to the hospital in an ambulance for observation.
Currently, the student is well and the school will be monitoring his well-being.
