Marina M made a lot of sense when she said she'll fault the AG for not settling the dispute in the first place away from the public glare and emotive forces.

After Mahathir destroyed the Judiciary back in the 80's, there are no more independence and checks and balances in the govt institutions. Almost all were beholden to that Mamak and a few aloof Judges who didn't do his biddings were tranferred or mothballed and careers killed off. Even the appointment of the Lord President was dictated by that Mamak and culminated in the imfamous Korek! Korek! Korek! Lingamgate's tape.

AG was the prosecutor during Anwar's Saga in the 90's and the PIG was Investigating Officer of that case. Both were elevated over more senior people dued to the allegiances they forged with the Mamak.
