Youth loanshark runner held

A 19-YEAR-OLD youth was arrested on Tuesday evening for suspected involvement in loansharking activities.
On Nov 30 at about 5.30pm, officers from Clementi Police Division were conducting anti-crime rounds around Block 428 , Clementi Avenue 3 when they spotted a youth behaving suspiciously.
Upon conducting a check, the officers found two mobile phones and some documents believed to be belonged to a debtor in his possession. The youth was then arrested.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect is believed to have assisted the loansharks in their business by verifying the particulars of debtors.
He will be charged in court on Thursday
