Kim Ngoc Thanh Nga, deputy director of the Vietnam National Innovation Center under the Ministry of Finance, speaks at 'Vietnam-Singapore Innovation and Talent Exchange Forum,' held in Hanoi, June 18, 2025.

The event, titled 'Vietnam–Singapore Innovation Talent Exchange Forum,' was jointly organized by the Vietnamese Ministries of Home Affairs and Finance.

It marked a step forward in the implementation of the 2023 memorandum of understanding on innovation talent exchange between the two countries. The MoU enables short-term job placements in fields tied to innovation, allowing workers from both nations to gain experience abroad.

Kim Ngoc Thanh Nga, deputy director of the National Innovation Center under the finance ministry, said that Singaporean companies are offering competitive monthly salaries of S$3,000-10,000 (US$2,330-$7,760), depending on qualifications and roles.

In its first year, the program aims to attract about 300 participants. The number is expected to rise to 1,000 annually in each country in the years ahead.

An online platform for job matching and registration is slated for completion by July.
