Young Guns Forum 2014
INTRODUCTION
The Young Guns 2014 is a forum organized by the NUS Students’ Political Association. This event provides NUS students the opportunity to engage in a dialogue with young political figures and to hear them speak on topics related to youth political participation in Singapore.
OBJECTIVES
In line with the NUSPA’s mission, the Young Guns Forum 2014 is organized with the primary aim of fostering greater youth political participation amongst NUS undergraduates as well as encouraging them to take an interest in local political, social and economic issues and to partake in the process of shaping Singapore’s future.
Using the theme of “Singapore Reloaded!”, this year’s event aims to discuss how Singapore has progressed as a nation since GE2011 and the direction Singapore should steer towards in the years ahead. The event will provide undergraduates with a deeper understanding of the current political landscape in Singapore, through the viewpoints of the Guest Speakers (including young politicians in Singapore represented by the four main political parties, the PAP, WP, NSP and SDP). Members of the audience will be able to exchange their views with the Guest Speakers via a highly anticipated Question and Answer session.
The event is extended to all NUS students at no cost.
