You want more? Make the Chinese back BN, Najib tells MCA
KUALA LUMPUR — Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA) must be able to commit more Chinese votes for Barisan Nasional (BN) if it wants a bigger say in the federal government, Prime Minister Najib Razak said today (Oct 11).
Mr Najib said his administration viewed the country’s second largest ethnic community as an integral partner and that Putrajaya was willing to “do more” for them should they support BN, but added that it was hard for him to “give more” to the community if its voter base did not back the government.
“You must show support. If you show support we have no problem giving more . But you must come forward to support me, if not I’ll get the heat.” “They will say, you give them so much, but then they never support you.
