"Yishun watch out for this man," the caption read in all caps.
According to the timestamp on the footage, the incident appeared to have happened around 5am on Aug. 25.
In the video, the man can be seen crawling on all fours along the corridor of the HDB.

He stands up and proceeds to inspect a shoe cabinet in front of the flats.
When the man comes back into frame, he can be seen holding a pair of shoes.
He then begins walking off with the shoes, only to suddenly change his mind and put them back where he found them.

Many users commented that the man appeared to have initially crawled in an attempt to avoid being detected by surveillance cameras.
Some observed that he seemed to have put the shoes back after noticing the surveillance camera.
