Yet another PMD Fire... LOL :D

I'm far more worried about car fires. They really are deadly

1) Double Car Explosion in Singapore KPE Tunnel

2) FIRE CALL CAR EXPLODES ON SCDF WORKER (Yio Chu Kang Road Serangoon)
If you review this video in its entirety you'll see just how much manpower had to be deployed in order to bring this fire under control not to mention the disruption it caused on the road too. The amount of road tax the driver has paid is minuscule compared to what he cost the taxpayer in bringing this fire under control.

3) Car catches fire in JEM shopping mall carpark
This fire happened in the carpark and the whole damned mall had to be evacuated because of the potential danger. Imagine how much money businesses lost because of this incident. Had the driver used a PMD there would have been way less disruption had it caught fire because the flames could have been doused in minutes with just one fire extinguisher.

4) Aftermath of car on fire in Wandervale Condominium Singapore

5) Car Caught Fire on Singapore Malaysia Causeway
The consequences of this fire in terms of disruption to the lives of other motorists is astronomical. The whole causeway came to a standstill. If you had been stuck in this jam you would have wished the driver had used a PMD instead.

6) Car caught fire and later exploded in front of CHIJMES

In this video you can pretty much hear the frustration and/or terror it caused other drivers with horns blaring non stop while drivers try to get out of harm's way. Again I have to reiterate that had the driver used a PMD instead and it caught fire the disruption would have been minor in comparison,

1) Car on fire in Toa Payoh North

2) Singapore burning car ends up in a big explosion

3) Car on Fire in MacPherson Road Singapore

4) Car catches fire on PIE Pan Island Expressway Singapore

5) Singapore car explosion
This car explosion could have cost the poor firefighter his life and his wife and children would be without the breadwinner and would have to depend on the PAP government for financial support. No amount of road tax would cover the cost.

6) Car bursts into flames at River Valley Road

7) 1ST BENTLEY CAR ON FIRE IN SINGAPORE

8) Singapore trailer lori is fire...

9) Yishun Avenue 4 - Car Caught on Fire
The saving grace in this instance was that the car was parked in an HDB car park and did not cause inconvenience to other road users. However the adjacent cars were put at risk. Imagine how pissed off you'd be if your car was right next to the car that exploded.

Lithium batteries are always dangerous. The bigger, the more dangerous.

Lithium is last century's technology. Hope we move on to something better soon.

Emergency services at the scene of a serious crash at Lehmans Rd, near Fernside in North Canterbury, on Tuesday afternoon.

A young boy has died and his father is critically injured in hospital after a fiery crash in North Canterbury.

Emergency services were called to the crash at Lehmans Rd near Fernside, close to Rangiora, about 4.17pm on Tuesday.

A police spokesman said a vehicle with two people inside had crashed down a bank and the vehicle had then caught fire. No other vehicles were believed to be involved.

Passersby were able to get the driver out of the car and he was flown to Christchurch Hospital in a critical condition.

It is understood the man had been badly burned, with burns covering more than two thirds of body.

The passersby were unable to reach the boy, who died at the scene.

A Stuff reporter at the scene said the car appeared to have crashed off a bank at the corner of Lehmans and River roads and a lot of "twisted metal" was visible.

A manager from the nearby Rangiora Eco Holiday Park said residents heard a loud bang and then plumes of smoke rising from the scene before emergency services arrived shortly before 4.30pm.

The road was closed to motorists shortly before 5pm.

In Canterbury alone, five people have died in just over two weeks.

Aaron Sadler, 40, was one of two motorcyclists killed when they collided between the Sign of the Takahe and Sign of the Kiwi cafes shortly after 5pm on Sunday.

Stuff understands one of the riders overtook a car on double yellow lines and hit the other head-on.

The other rider is understood to have been 23 years old. The police serious crash unit (SCU) is investigating.

On Saturday morning, motorcyclist Michael Ferris, 58, was killed near Timaru, while 25-year-old Nelson motorcyclist Caleb Neho died after colliding with a car in Nelson on Saturday evening.

Christchurch man Rua David Pomare, 51, died when he lost control of his motorcycle at the intersection of West Coast and Sandy Knoll roads, in West Melton, about 11.55pm on October 24.

Stuff understands Pomare lost control of the bike, crossed onto the opposite side of the road and crashed through a fence and into a tree.
Canterbury road policing manager Inspector Ash Tabb urged motorists to have more patience and consideration for others on the road following the spate of serious crashes in the region.

"There seems to be a lot of impatience and then people take risks and ultimately cause death and serious injury.

"[At] this time of the year it gets a lot busier on the roads and, coming up to Cup Week in Canterbury as well, it's just important people plan their trip, take time to actually get somewhere and ultimately get there safely," he said.

According to the Ministry of Transport's road death statistics, 281 people have died on New Zealand roads so far this year, including 40 in Canterbury.

Nationally the road toll has decreased with 30 fewer deaths than this time last year.

Nonsense. Nuclear is also last century's technology and it is perfectly safe to be built in Singapore, so says the ho.

boss, I think you need to return and champion PMDs in sinkieland. You will be very effective, and be viewed and treated by all PMD owners as the Messiah.
