So the ulu ulu mountain village used to rely only on boats, and 20 yrs ago some engineers made cable cars to short cut the long route to boat jetty. Now go a new bridge completing soon.
Unlike Singapore Chiak Sai, this cable car worked COMPLETELY SAFE WITHOUT A SINGLE ACCIDENT in whole of 20 Yrs! Singapore had One Major and several minior accidents @ Sentosa.

过去5年里四川已投入10亿多元，全面推进77个“溜索改桥”工程，其中74个项目已经完成，像鹦哥村一样，四川全省近500个村的十几万群众，已告别了靠溜索出行的日子。

“哎呀，以前能收到钱的时候，对溜索还有点感情，现在可没有了。”蒋世学说。他还说会保留这条溜索，也许以后能开发做个旅游项目，等鹦哥村通上公路，溜索和自己就可以正式“退休”了，到了那个时候，他打算外出多走走，过过不用操心溜索的休闲生活。
