WTF?! For the 6th time this year, they dug up the road outside my home

Why can't the government agencies coordinate amongst themselves and save our country some money, as well as peace and quiet for residents? Some more it is the same company that come dig up and fill up the road every time!

I know it is a great scheme to take tax payers money and transfer it to their friend and family own construction companies, or even to increase GDP but really?? This is too much!!

Everytime the LTA digs up and fills up the road, G component is increased.

Notice GDP does say anything about debt. You can borrow as much as you want to grow GDP since it is always borrowing into the future. If you borrow from overseas lagi better. But does it mean it is useful GDP? Is pricing a property here 10 times more than USA GDP growth or inducing poverty?

good observation indeed. dig, dig , covered, cemented, tarred and then dig again, dig , dig and repeat the whole process...cause inconveniences, cause jams and cause stresss...raise blood pressure and precipitate heart attacks..

at any one time or at any place, u can see some form of digging going on - all over the island....digging syndrome...hahhaa

Another $2 company doing the job for govt? Fishy grassroots people I supposed. Now, I am not surprised why some Singaporeans "can afford" to buy a $2million EC at Tampines.

You are lucky, at least they dig up, patch up and then, well, dig up again. At the Marine Parade library, holes have been there for about one year, and the red/white tapes surrounding the area have been blocked off, narrowing the driveway, creating great inconvenience to parents who wait for their children to drop/return their books. So, they drive round and round the mini circle - most environmentally friendly!

In the Stadium Walk area near where The Cage is, they dig different sides of the same road at different times of the day. This has been going on for about two weeks.
